More civilians are killed and flee their homes as fighting flares up when new cabinet is announced.

Mogadishu. (insidesomalia.org) - At least eight people were killed and many more wounded after a fighting broke out on Monday  between TFG forces backed by Ethiopian army and Insurgents at Suqa Heliwa neighbourhood, North of Mogadishu.

Heavy weapons where used during the fighting and was most intense in the last few days when there was lull in fighting.

Residents have fled after shells hit some of residential areas which several houses were demolished said Mohamed Elmi lives in Heliwa.

The fighting coincided with the announcement of the new cabinet of ministers of the Somali government led Nur Hassan Hassein “ Nur Adde”.  The cabinet is now awaiting approval from the Somali Parliament.

The new government is trying to form broad based cabinet that consists of more than 73 ministers and deputy ministers.  It has appointed number of ministers from previous government led by Ali Mohamed Gedi who resigned two months ago.

Prime Minister Nur Adde, named the cabinet yesterday insisted main objective is to reconcile Somalis as his government faces the challenges to contain fighting against insurgence who oppose TFG.

Sources close to the new prime minister say that he will try to open dialogue with Insurgents to end an insurgency that human rights groups estimate nearly 8,000 civilians so far this year.
